Cycling is good in many ways: for your health and your mind. Cycling is freedom. Also the impact of cycling on the environment is very low. Altogether cycling offers a wealth of benefits, isn't it?

Yes! But on the contrary the production of bikes and cycling apparel is far from being sustainable and leaves plenty of room for improvement. We believe cycling apparel should not cost the Earth and could be entirely made with respect for nature and people. At Club V we are not only inspired by the natural world. We truly care about it. All our activities are focused on minimizing our footprint while maximizing our impact by being good to nature and people. But talk is cheap and let’s go straight to business. This is what we do to becoming a 100% sustainable brand:

SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS

We are honest about the materials we have used and where they come from. To reduce CO2 emissions we only source within the European Union. We solely work with suppliers that are able to show us the right certifications such as OEKO-TEX (confidence in textiles) and Repreve (recycled polyester), and that share our values regarding sustainability. Check our product characteristics to find out where the materials are originated.

ETHICAL PRODUCTION

We manage our production entirely within the EU, mainly Czech Republic, making sure it is possible to visit at least once a year. Keeping touch with the people that make your new cycling outfit is important to us, but mostly done digitally. By keeping travel distance as short as possible we also keep our CO2 emissions low.

CONSCIOUS SHIPPING

We aim to get your package to you in the most eco-friendly way as possible: by bike! In the Netherlands we work together with Fietskoeriers. For international shipments we look for the most eco-friendly alternatives as possible.

ECO-FRIENDLY PACKAGING

Your order will be packed in a recycled paper box or recycled plastic mailer that both have a second glue strip to make it easy for you to return unwanted items in the same bag. Products are protected by oxygen-breached chlorine free paper and decorated by recycled paper ‘Thank you’-cards (because we cannot express our gratitude enough). Our stickers are always PVC free. Have you noticed we don’t use any labels or hang tags?

TRANSPARENT COMMUNICATION

We acknowledge that we are not perfect yet but we try to be as clear as possible about our improvements in our sustainable journey. We post regularly about our progress in Club V Stories. This way you know exactly what you buy from us.

PAPERLESS OFFICE

To us printing is just soooo 1999. Therefore we don’t use any paper in our office (ok, ok we have 1 label writer for that is required for printing shipping labels). But other than that we work 100% in the cloud.
